WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) - Forget COVID protocol, the toughest task for area high school sports teams this spring has been battling the weather.
A case in point: golf.
Immaculate Heart was starting its practice Tuesday afternoon at Willowbrook Golf Club. The players were getting ready for a round of golf in windy and chilly conditions.
Immaculate Heart started playing golf again this season after a three-year hiatus from the sport.
First-year coach Sam Booth has had to do more than just work on his teamâs game. Because of the weather, heâs been a busy man making sure matches are rescheduled and played.

Rolesville, N.C. On thursday night, Rolesville became the first school not named Wake Forest to win a Northern Athletic Conference championship in football. This was thanks to a 29-21 clinching victory over its rival Heritage from just over the town border. The Rams looked outstanding in the second half after finding themselves down to the Huskies 14-12 at the break.
Thanks to Rolesville s 36-3 win over regular powerhouse Wake Forest last week and tonight s win over Heritage, the Rams secured the top spot for playoff seeding out of the NAC 6.
