MANSFIELD – The death of a 32-year-old Norton woman who was struck by an Acela train this past weekend was a suicide, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office.
The woman was struck by a southbound train near the commuter rail station around 6:43 a.m. Saturday, July 24.
The tracks were closed for just under two hours, Mansfield Deputy Police Chief Michael Ellsworth said. Then the northbound track was reopened to full speed and the southbound reopened at low speed at the direction of Amtrak personnel.

I rise
makes me want to stay in bed
Even when the outlook is bleak:
I ve not seen my eighth graders smile. Or smirk.
