Little Hocking area residents have a big opportunity brewing, as they await the demolition of the former Little Hocking Elementary School building, and the property’s eventual transfer into the hands of the Belpre Township trustees. According to trustee Asa Boring, that process should be completed by April. Once it is completed, the next step is input from the public as the trustees figure out how to create an envisioned sports and recreation complex on the property.
Boring says the trustees are hoping to keep the four ball fields, with the help of local leagues; and that some trailers that will be left on the property could become an area for community meetings. Even soccer fields have been discussed. ....
