3I Show to open March 18 in Dodge City

DODGE CITY – Helping the 3i SHOW kick off its three-day event, American Legion Post 47 Honor Guard will participate in the Opening Ceremonies with a posting of the colors and a gun salute honoring all veterans. Veterans and their families, as well as active military service members, are invited to attend.
The Opening Ceremonies will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 18 in the Special Events Arena on the dirt floor side of the Western State Bank Expo Center. For the safety of all attending, 3i SHOW staff asks that audience members in the arena stands not from the same household leave space in between to facilitate social distancing.

At the 3i SHOW in Dodge City, Fairbank Equipment will showcase its SureFire QuickDraw 3000 trailer with on-demand demonstrations during the three-day event from March 18-20 at the Western State Bank Expo Center.
According to the 3i SHOW, the SureFire QuickDraw 3000 is a fully automated spray tender system that can be utilized on a trailer or in a bulk plant for precision measurement of chemicals into a sprayer or tender.
The QuickDraw calculates the amount of each chemical in a batch, including manually added chemicals and creates repeatable recipes with its integrated system. The closed system offers a safety benefit that eliminates operator exposure to chemicals as the micro-motion mass flowmeter requires no calibration.

In accordance with Gov. Laura Kelly and the Ford County Health Department, the City of Dodge City opened a second free drive-up testing site for COVID-19 at the St. Mary s Soccer Complex located at 240 San Jose Drive.
The secondary site is a supplemental location to the ongoing testing at Western State Bank Expo Center being run by WellHealth.
According to city officials, the St. Mary s site can be accessed by turning east on north Central Avenue at San Jose Drive; Follow past the Dodge City Family YMCA until reaching the Soccer Complex parking area and traffic will be dispersed through Sister Meleesa Lane.

Returning after a long break following its Nov. 9 meeting, the Dodge City Unified School District 443 Board of Education was given a presentation of information by the Air Force Junior ROTC program, overseen by instructor Master Sgt. Raymond Gonzales and four of his students that make unit KS-2021.
In 2018, USD 443 made the decision to pursue an Air Force JROTC program and in late 2019 was awarded an Air Force JROTC program with the expectation of implementing this program in August 2020.
Gonzales was hired to fill one of the two instructor positions in June 2020, and from there began to develop the program.

According to Ford County physicians adviser Dr. R.C. Trotter, there was one new death over the weekend, bringing the overall total to 30 since the coronavirus pandemic began.
The death was confirmed on Monday. It was an older gentleman that had multiple diagnoses, Trotter said of the latest death.
According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, there had been no new deaths in any of the Ford County nursing homes as of Nov. 29.
On Friday, Dec. 11, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment showed Ford County added 30 new cases of the coronavirus with a case rate of 145.6 per 1,000 people.
