Shane M. Kennedy, 39, of Roaring Spring, passed away Monday. He was born in Altoona, son of Michael Kennedy and Sherri (Benton) Snyder.
Surviving are his father, of Roaring Spring; his mother and her husband, Wade, of Hollidaysburg; a sister, Brandey Kennedy and fiance, Chris Pavlick, of Salix; three children: Kalysta, Isabella and Barrett Kennedy; two nieces, Claire Kennedy and Kathryn Brendel; his grandparents, James W. and Marlene Kennedy; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sherwood Benton; and beloved grandmother, Dorothy Benton.
Shane was a 2000 graduate of Central High School, where he played football, basketball, baseball and volleyball. He attended South Hills Business School, where he received an associate’s degree in networking and programming.

Gordon
Robert P. Gordon, 88, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Claysburg, passed away Friday at home. He was born in Claysburg, son of the late Samuel S. and Geraldine (Amick) Gordon. He married Jean Roudabush on Sept. 23, 1951, at Grace United Church of Christ, Claysburg.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters: Crystal L. Gilchrist and husband, Andrew, of Schwenksville and Cynthia G. John and husband, Clayton, of Claysburg; five grandsons: Robert, Joseph, David, Christian and Ian; 10 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Samuel, Regina and Daniel; two aunts, Fleta and Helen; and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was a 1950 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School, where he was voted class president. He received a varsity letter in three sports all four years of school and signed a professional contract to play baseball with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Clair Wayne Deavor, 70, of Claysburg, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at UPMC-Shadyside. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the Grace Fellowship Church – Leamersville Campus. Friends will be received for two hours prior to the memorial service at the church. A full obituary will appear next week. Arrangements are by Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
