WAPELLO A possible resolution may have been reached to a signage stalemate tied to the relocation of the Louisa County Public Health Service from its Wapello office site to the Louisa County Complex, county officials reported Tuesday during the county board of supervisors meeting.
Supervisor Randy Griffin, who also serves as the chair for the Louisa County Board of Health, and county engineer Adam Shutt reported on a recent meeting they held with interim Iowa Department of Transportation District V Engineer Bob Younie.

WAPELLO  The Louisa County Board of Supervisors’ review of departmental budgets and other proposed spending for Fiscal Year 2022 continued Wednesday during a day-long work session.
Ten spending plans were discussed with department heads and other individuals, bringing the total number of budget proposals reviewed by the supervisors since they began the process last week to 16.
The final set of reviews is scheduled for Friday.
Zoning administrators Bruce Hudson and Brian Thye led Wednesday’s review with their department’s planned FY22 spending.
Hudson said the proposed $62,600 would not include any increase in the $58,500 annual payment made by Louisa County to RUSS. The only increase in the proposal from FY21 spending was adding $200 for magazines, periodicals and books. ....
