Donation of booth allows Widnes care home residents to be reunited with loved ones

A care home in Widnes has installed a visiting booth so residents can safely see their loved ones again.
The booth was built free of charge for Millbrow care home by a friend of the home, Dave Gregg, who also made a portable screen for residents who can’t get out of bed so they too can have visitors.
The booth is made of thin ply with a clear screen so that people can see and hear each other well and the mobile screen is three-sided and on wheels, both of which can be taken apart for storage.
Lynne Moss, manager of the Halton Borough Council-run home, said: “The booth looks very stylish and is really well made. “The residents and staff were really impressed and looking forward to making good use of both items. “These will really make a difference to both the residents and relatives lives being able to be close to each other once again.” ....
