Reginald Morton, 35, of 727 West Fourth St., allegedly sold crack cocaine and methamphetamine to a confidential police informant back in summer of 2020.
The transactions allegedly occurred at Morton’s shared home with Tara Mcleod and three juveniles, according to a detective with the Lycoming County Narcotics Enforcement Unit.
On June 23, 2020, Morton sold 2.15 grams of crack cocaine to a confidential informant at his home on West Fourth Street, according to an NEU detective.
Meanwhile, on July 22., Morton sold another gram of crack cocaine and a gram of methamphetamine to a confidential information.
Authorities executed a search warrant on the residence later July 22, and allegedly found the phone used to arrange the controlled buys as well as paraphernalia such as digital scales and packaging material. ....

City man charged for allegedly selling fentanyl
Eric Serious, 32, of 1630 Memorial Avenue, is facing charges related to allegedly selling fentanyl to a confidential informant on Andrews Court on Sept. 4, according to Lycoming County Narcotics Enforcement Unit. Serious was arraigned by judge Christian Frey Dec. 16 for possession with intent to deliver, delivery of a controlled substance and the criminal use of a communication facility, and is being held in the Lycoming County Prison for $75,000 bail. Serious is scheduled to appear before Frey for a preliminary hearing Dec. 29.
Authorities say city man delivered crack cocaine
Robin Shifflet, 45, of 669 Campbell Street, Apartment 2, allegedly sold crack cocaine to a confidential informant at Linn Street around 10:30 a.m. Dec. 1, according to the county Narcotics Enforcement Unit. Shifflet was arraigned by judge Christian Frey for delivery of a controlled substance, and is being held in the Lycoming County Prison for $50, ....

Man found high on K2 amid crying children and unconscious wife
Johnathan Pace, 36, of 684 Second Ave., tested positive for allegedly having K2 in his system when police responded to a call from his nine-year-old daughter Dec. 12, police said.
According to an affidavit filed by city officer Andrew Stevens, police found Pace conscious alongside his unconscious but breathing wife. Police said Pace had slow and thick speech, that he could not keep his balance and that his pupils were large. Pace was found to have possessed a bag of suspected K2 and rolling papers, and although Pace denied having smoked K2, a urine test given by probation tested positive for K2, according to police. ....

City Council narrows proposed budget to 1 mill hike, with promise of further discussion next week | News, Sports, Jobs

City Council tabled the proposed 2021 budget Thursday, looking to meet in a week to perhaps finalize it.
Before doing so, however, council removed another $434,000 out of Mayor Derek Slaughter’s proposed spending plan, reducing the proposed tax increase in the millage rate to 1 mill.
But council remains unsatisfied, calling on Slaughter to find ways to further reduce his proposed spending plan.
“We made good progress and accomplished a lot, lowering the burden on taxpayers,” Councilwoman Liz Miele said. “I’d like to see us go further.”
Miele said she wants to see more effort from council and the administration to get the size of the tax increase lower for taxpayers. ....
