Anzac Day March Number Increased to 5,000 for Sydney CBD Anzac day will see a return of the veterans marching through the streets of Sydney, with the New South Wales government and NSW Police reaching an agreement with the Returned Soldiers League (RSL) to allow the parade. The annual event, which celebrates Australia’s former and serving defence forces, was cancelled last year due to restrictions stemming from the CCP virus. The exemption issued by Health Minister Brad Hazzard on Tuesday night will allow for 5000 attendees. However, Police Minister David Elliot said he had an “iron-clad commitment” from Minister Hazzard that if the number reaches 5,000 “we will do another COVID plan and increase it to 10,000.” ....
Date Time Boundary road extension project update Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) staff have been hard at work on Dubbo’s busy Boundary Road, as Stage 2 of the $8 million extension project continues. The 1.2 kilometre, two lane, sealed and fully kerbed extension will connect Boundary Road from Alexandrina Avenue through to Sheraton Road. Stage 2 includes the construction of integrated bike lanes, installation of street lighting and underground electricity, telecommunications, sewer and stormwater infrastructure as well as a footpath on the southern side. The project was originally expected to be complete in late 2020 however COVID-19 restrictions and changes to underground utility requirements mean the project timelines have been extended. ....
