NGEN Charity Cup raises more than $30K for charity July 23, 2021 10:15 MFA’s NGEN Charity Cup 2021 has raised more than $30,000 for charity. The announcement: Three cities, 40 teams of NGENers and $30,679 raised for UnLtd charity partner Gotcha4Life – the MFA’s NGEN Charity Cup 2021 wrapped up on Wednesday night with Melbourne proving its commitment via Zoom. Gotcha4Life is a not-for-profit foundation raising awareness and funding to provide educational workshops and innovative programs that build mental fitness in individuals and communities. While Sydney and Brisbane completed the Charity Cup in June, before Covid restrictions hit, the final leg in Melbourne was first postponed then held on Zoom due to lockdown. But that didn’t dampen the spirits of NGENers who showed up to demonstrate their quiz knowledge, inspired retro dress-up skills and dedication to team work. The call out asks for the industry to share a photo in their pyjamas with the hashtag #InMyPJs and tag @thepyjamafoundation to help raise awareness for the Aussie charity dedicated to breaking the cycle of disadvantage for children in foster care. Says Kate Holland, account director at UnLtd: “We know that some of you are already rocking the pyjama suit from home – pjs on the bottom and dressed for work on top – so why not rally your team together for the comfiest day of the year whilst raising awareness for The Pyjama Foundation?” ....

Industry pro bono campaign for HeartKids raises $300k May 13, 2021 4:39 A pro bono campaign for HeartKids has raised over $300,000 for the children’s heart health charity. The campaign was supported across the industry, with Omnicom’s DDB Sydney partnering on creative, IPG Mediabrands’ Initiative on media, and research agency Kantar on effectiveness. 20 publishers participated as well, listed in full below. Released in January this year, the “Things can change in a heartbeat” campaign depicts the truth of children affected by congenital heart disease (CHD). The spot contrasts the joy of bringing a child into the world with the fears parents with children with CHD face, a reality for one in 100 parents of Australian kids. ....
