SEVIERVILLE â This time, the blankets are for humans. Members of the Sevier County chapter of the Bearded Sinners have previously gathered blankets, pet food and other supplies for Sevier Animal Care Center. Theyâre working now to collect items that will be donated to Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries. Bearded Sinners is a nationwide service organization, and the local chapter now has 12 members. âWe like to do the animal shelter stuff,â said member Douglas Pope, adding that the group seeks out a variety of nonprofits for their monthly service projects. The Bearded Sinners have provided pizza for the youngsters who attend the Pigeon Forge branch of Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains. ....

The 3,125-square-foot retail store and gunsmith shop is in Hilliard, on the south side of Fishinger Boulevard in the Mill Run Center just west of Lowe’s, which is in Columbus. The gun store was scheduled to open in May 2020 as Buckeye Arsenal and a banner outside the store last spring advertised its opening under that name. But a disagreement among the intended business partners delayed its opening, said Huskey, a 2011 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School. ....
SEVIERVILLE â Each year Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries gives away coats to those in need. They held this yearâs annual giveaway at their 103 Joy St., Sevierville location, on Saturday, Dec. 12. âWe have been doing the coat drive since I think 2012. I bet this year we had probably 1,000 coats donated,â said Ryan Huskey, director of operations. âWe have been very fortunate.â The giveaway was changed somewhat this year due to COVID-19, with volunteers checking people in outside and volunteers bringing coats out to waiting recipients. âWe had to kind of redo our layout because of COVID, but everything has kind of fallen into place as it normally does,â Huskey said. ....
