ANN ARBOR, MI - Rising COVID-19 cases locally and in the state of Michigan will push back the return to in-person classes for students that have remained in remote learning at Ann Arbor Public Schools.
Superintendent Jeanice Swift recommended pausing the return to in-person learning until May 3 for grades 4-12 during AAPS’ Board of Education meeting Wednesday, April 14. ....

ANN ARBOR, MI - At least two-thirds of Ann Arbor Public Schools elementary school students have opted for hybrid learning as the district prepares to welcome students back to in-person classes on March 25.
Surveys sent to families indicate that 67.3% of students plan to participate in the hybrid format, while 24.5% of students have opted to remain in virtual learning, Superintendent Jeanice Swift said. Another 8.2% of students have not yet responded with their learning choice. ....

ANN ARBOR – The Ann Arbor Board of Education voted 6-1 on Wednesday to approve a recommendation brought forward by Superintendent Dr. Jeanice Kerr Swift to transition to an in-person hybrid learning model starting March 25.
Trustee Ernesto Querijero abstained from the vote because he said the Board was in violation of its bylaws for changing the time of the meeting last minute and said he will vote tonight after public comment is heard during its regular 7 p.m. meeting. ....
