Santa and Mrs. Claus created the smiles, but it took a good partnership with the Biloxi Elks Club to make it happen this year - for the 59th time. Muncy, Pa. â A female employee at the State Correctional Institute at Muncy claims a pervasive culture of sexual harassment exists at the facility, and she was a victim of such harassment, coercion, and workplace violence. Devon Grafius, an employee in the psychology department at SCI-Muncy, alleges a corrections officer (CO) there repeatedly harassed her between October 2019 and January 2020. Grafius said she reported the incidents to her supervisors, and later to state police, but no charges have been filed against the CO. According to emails obtained by NorthcentralPa.com, Grafius reported the incidents to her supervisor on Dec. 30, 2019 and made a report to Pennsylvania State Police on Jan. 1, 2020. ....
BRIAN Kidd – president of Ventnor Botanic Garden Friends for 15 years and a horticultural expert and writer for several decades has died at the age of 82. Mr Kidd was a weekly gardening columnist on the Portsmouth News and its Weekend magazine for more than 40 years, and a panellist on BBC Radio Solent s gardening show. His life s work started as an apprentice for Portsmouth City Council in the 1950s, but he went on to become the city s head of parks and gardens. He designed and tended the city s green spaces over several decades and even had a road named after him Brian Kidd Way, near Southsea Castle where he had designed the gardens leading up to the heritage site. ....
