Coming off an incredible performance in a win over Towson, graduate attacker Taryn Ohlmiller put up another career day with four goals and eight assists in the Stony Brook women’s lacrosse team’s 20-8 win over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights to advance to the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals. The third woman to ever put up 12 points in an NCAA Tournament game and one point shy of tying the record, Ohlmiller has the Seawolves scorching-hot just when they needed it more than ever before.
Ohlmiller got started quickly when she found graduate midfielder Kaeli Huff for the first goal of the game. After what appeared to be the start of a back-and-forth affair, graduate midfielder Ally Kennedy turned on the jets to score her first goal of the day, off the draw control to kick off an impressive seven-goal run for the Seawolves.  ....

The eighth-seeded Stony Brook women’s lacrosse team was firing on all cylinders at home on Friday, as the Seawolves defeated the visiting Towson Tigers by a final score of 14-8 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Seawolves now advance to the second round to face Rutgers, who defeated Drexel later in the day at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium.
Graduate attacker Taryn Ohlmiller led the Seawolves with seven points (four goals and three assists), and tied for the second-most points in an NCAA Tournament game by a Stony Brook athlete alongside Dorrien Van Dyke and sister Kylie Ohlmiller.  ....

No. 6 Stony Brook women's lacrosse takes down Albany for America East championship and NCAA Tournament berth – The Statesman

It was a usual day for the Seawolves on Saturday, May 8 as the Stony Brook women’s lacrosse team defeated rival Albany Great Danes 16-9 at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium for the program’s 54th straight conference win and eighth straight America East championship. Off the solid win, Stony Brook can now turn its focus towards the NCAA Tournament and the ultimate goal of a national championship.
The night prior, Oklahoma softball saw its 65-game conference win streak in the Big 12 snapped by Oklahoma State, giving the Seawolves the longest active in-conference winning streak among all Division I sports. ....

The No. 6-ranked Stony Brook women’s lacrosse team put on a game for the ages as they torched the UMBC Retrievers by a final score of 25-13 in the semifinals of the America East tournament. The Seawolves scored the most goals ever in an America East playoff game, breaking their own 22 point record from a 2018 match against Albany.
Graduate midfielder Ally Kennedy finished with seven goals, setting a conference playoffs record, as well as four ground balls. Her performance rewrote the Stony Brook record books, giving her the second-most goals and third-most ground balls in program history. ....

The 52nd straight America East win for the No. 6-ranked Stony Brook women’s lacrosse team was a sweet one. One of the most talented senior classes in Stony Brook history wrapped up their final regular season with a dominating 18-7 win over the UMBC Retrievers on Saturday, May 1 at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium.
With the game tied up after seven minutes of back-and-forth action, graduate midfielder Ally Kennedy kicked off a seven-goal run that saw the Seawolves rob UMBC of any momentum it had with the early tie. The eight-time defending America East regular season champions stormed their way to an 11-3 lead going into the half after graduate attacker Taryn Ohlmiller scored her fourth goal of the day on a tightrope-walking goal with only one second left. Senior attacker Rebecca Kinsley contributed to the score with her third assist on the day. ....
