Reminisce: From Greely Chapel to Garfield Chapel to today

Reminisce: From Greely Chapel to Garfield Chapel to today By Greg Hoersten - For The Lima News The Garfield Chapel Church of Christ celebrated its 60th anniversary on Aug. 7, 1955. Pictured are many members of the Blank, Downhower, Roller and Shaw families. The church was built in the same location as the former Greely Chapel, the namesake for today’s Greely Chapel Road. A map shows the Perry Township area as it was in 1880, including a marking for Greely Chapel. Deep snow can be seen outside Garfield Chapel in 1950. A group appears in a photograph outside Garfield Chapel in the 1940s.

Article content Sewer needs KISS Reading the article Quit flushing COVID masks, gloves and wipes, city says (April 16) about more masks and gloves flushed down the toilet, what made me snicker was the billboard telling the public don’t dump the above into the toilet. The city has poor advertising habits: too many words. Plus I have never seen the ads in The Free Press or The Londoner. Instead of all those words on a billboard, I suggest KISS keep it simple, stupid. We apologize, but this video has failed to load.
