Posted at 2:28 PM, Jul 14, 2021 and last updated 2021-07-14 15:29:31-04 CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â Rachel Neff has been chosen as the new principal at Cunningham Middle School at South Park, the Corpus Christi Independent School District announced. Neff will replace Sandy Salinas-DeLeon, who the district recently named principal of Roy Miller High School. Neff, who most recently served as a principal in the Robstown ISD, has also been an assistant principal at CCISDâs Cullen Middle School and Robert Driscoll Middle School. Neff holds a bachelorâs degree from Texas A&M University and a masterâs degree from the University of Houston. An educator since 2005, the majority of Neffâs experience is in secondary education. She is also a graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi Class 49 and a CC Under 40 honoree. ....

View Comments Corpus Christi ISD held its 13th annual Academic Achievers Ceremony Thursday evening at Selena Auditorium to honor the top 10 seniors from eight high schools. The high schools involved were Harold T. Branch Academy, Mary Carroll High School, Collegiate High School, Richard King High School, Roy Miller High School, Foy H. Moody High School, W.B. Ray High School and Veterans Memorial High School. The event, themed Unmasked, recognized 80 students joined by two guests and their favorite teacher. Superintendent Roland Hernandez said the theme was chosen to acknowledge how each student triumphed while facing adversity. Students, you have shown just how dedicated you are to your education and to conquering the goals you set, Hernandez said. I know making it to the top 10, and then staying there was no easy feat. Especially with the added roadblocks of a pandemic and a historic freeze. ....
