COVID positivity among people ages 18-29 is up to 30-percent in the last seven-days, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health. Drake University in Des Moines has vaccinated more than one-thousand students, faculty, and staff so far. The school is holding another clinic this Friday, April 16th at the Knapp Center where everyone will receive the single shot Johnson and Johnson vaccine. The University of Northern Iowa is holding a COVID vaccine clinic tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday, and second shots will have to be scheduled during finals. ....

The Knoxville Police Department said there were multiple victims, including a police a officer. Officials said that a male was pronounced dead at the scene and another was detained for further questioning. Multiple agencies are on the scene of a shooting at Austin-East Magnet High School. Multiple gunshot victims reported, including a KPD officer. The investigation remains active at this time. Please avoid the area, the department wrote on Twitter. Officials said that officers responded to a report of an armed individual at the school. As officers approached the suspect, shots were fired.
