The Robertson County Board of Education voted unanimously this week to adopt an optional mask policy through the end of the current school year.
This update follows the board s stand up-mask up policy extension last week, when Director of Robertson County Schools Chris Causey explained in a phone call to parents that masks were still required in school, but they were allowed to be removed once students were in class and seated. Masks are no longer required to be worn by all students and staff, Causey said in a message to parents Monday.
However, anyone who chooses to continue wearing one may do so, he noted.
