Robertson County Schools pass policy making masks optional for all students, staff

View Comments The Robertson County Board of Education voted unanimously this week to adopt an optional mask policy through the end of the current school year. This update follows the board s stand up-mask up  policy extension last week, when Director of Robertson County Schools Chris Causey explained in a phone call to parents that masks were still required in school, but they were allowed to be removed once students were in class and seated. Masks are no longer required to be worn by all students and staff, Causey said in a message to parents Monday. However, anyone who chooses to continue wearing one may do so, he noted.

Robertson School Board unanimously extends 'stand up-mask up' policy through 12th grade

View Comments The Robertson County Board of Education extended the Stand up-mask up  policy through the 12th grade in a unanimous vote Monday. All students through the 12th grade will be under the “Stand Up-Mask Up” policy until further notice, effective immediately, schools officials said. Masks are still required in school, but they may be removed once students are in class and seated, Director of Robertson County Schools Chris Causey explained in a phone call to parents Tuesday. Faculty and staff are included in the Stand up-mask up policy. The board also voted for masks to be worn voluntarily when students and staff are outdoors, however, masks are still currently required on the school bus at this time.
