Chairman, South West Governors Forum, Rotimi Akeredolu has cried out that the nation’s current security architecture cannot guarantee effective policing and address the array of security challenges confronting the country.
Akeredolu said that having a single command in Abuja to oversee the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory cannot ensure effective tackling of the issues affecting policing in Nigeria. ....

Fintech as a Service Tech Provider Yimba and BaaS Platform Railsbank to Offer Solutions for Improving Digital Wallet Experience
Yimba, a FAST (Fintech As a Service Technology) company, and
Railsbank, the global Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform, are teaming up to offer clients with products and services that will improve their digital wallet experience with “the likes of Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay.”
As noted in a release:
“Under a new strategic partnership between the two companies, all customers of Railsbank can benefit from Yimba’s … digital wallet marketing platform.”
Established in 2019, Yimba had created a software platform that supports the accelerated adoption of contactless payments in order to improve the customer experience. It’s supported by CRM and marketing capabilities that are “uniquely delivered via a cloud-based system and integrated directly across the proprietary payment networks,” the announcement ....

The former MDU building, on Main and First Avenue Northwest, came down this week to make way for a new parking lot the city will be providing while Main Street is closed for renovation. Work has already begun in moving traffic control signals away from the Main Street to allow the removal of pavement and subsequent sewer and water work. Beginning Monday, May 1, two streets will be converted to one-way streets with First Street being dedicated only for eastbound traffic, while Second Street will be westbound travel only.
The Mandan Rotary Club, with a membership of 44, recently celebrated its 75th year of existence in the community with a dinner and program held at the Seven Seas Inn. Musical entertainment was provided by the âRoto-Roters,â with Chub Ulmer as master of ceremonies. The current president is Mary Stewart who was the third woman to join the Mandan club in 1988.
