Couple dies by suicide in Telangana s Rangareddy ANI | Updated: Feb 11, 2021 09:21 IST Rangareddy (Telangana) [India], February 11 (ANI): A couple died by suicide on Wednesday morning in the Mailardevpally area of Telangana s Rangareddy district. According to K Narsimha, Inspector of Police at the Mailardevpally Police Station, the bodies of the two, identified as Ramesh Joshi and Raj Kanya Joshi, were found between 8:45 am and 9 am. Today, between 8:45 am and 9 am, we received information that a couple, namely Ramesh Joshi and Raj Kanya Joshi, died by suicide by consuming some unknown poison. The bodies have been shifted to the government hospital mortuary for a post mortem examination (PME). We will verify the poison after the PME, the inspector told ANI over the phone.

2,058 CCTV cameras unveiled by Telangana DGP ANI | Updated: Jan 26, 2021 06:54 IST Rangareddy (Telangana) [India], January 26 (ANI): A total of 2,058 Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras were unveiled by Telangana DGP Dr M Mahendar Reddy at Cyberabad Police Commissionerate on Monday. It is the highest ever one-time launch of CCTV cameras in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits. These cover 18 police stations and 111 communities. Of these 2,058 cameras, 1,145 are installed in Madhapur zone, 405 in Balanagar zone and 508 in Shamshabad zone. The cost of the project was put at Rs 11,32,90,000. Reddy also inaugurated 629 community CCTV cameras of Madhapur Division and 1,429 of Madhapur, Balanagar and Shamshabad zones. He also inaugurated three camera-mounted vehicles and distributed CCTV maintenance kit to 19 technical persons.

5 arrested for bank fraud in Telangana s Rangareddy ANI | Updated: Jan 22, 2021 11:52 IST Rangareddy (Telangana) [India], January 22 (ANI): The Cyber Crime Police of Cyberabad arrested five members of an interstate gang on Thursday from Mira road for allegedly committing SIM swap fraud to siphon off funds from the target bank accounts. The fraudsters have allegedly been committing cybercrime since 2011 by the technique of SIM swapping to get access to the net banking of their target accounts. The main fraudster is James, a Nigerian, who has been operating from abroad. He hacks the net banking credentials of his target through phishing emails in the name of IT returns. Later on, he collects the cheated amount through Bitcoins or Hawala, the police said.
