2,058 CCTV cameras unveiled by Telangana DGP

Rangareddy (Telangana) [India], January 26 (ANI): A total of 2,058 Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras were unveiled by Telangana DGP Dr M Mahendar Reddy at Cyberabad Police Commissionerate on Monday.
It is the highest ever one-time launch of CCTV cameras in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits.
These cover 18 police stations and 111 communities. Of these 2,058 cameras, 1,145 are installed in Madhapur zone, 405 in Balanagar zone and 508 in Shamshabad zone. The cost of the project was put at Rs 11,32,90,000.
Reddy also inaugurated 629 community CCTV cameras of Madhapur Division and 1,429 of Madhapur, Balanagar and Shamshabad zones. He also inaugurated three camera-mounted vehicles and distributed CCTV maintenance kit to 19 technical persons.
