A woman has been charged following the alleged wounding of another woman. Police will allege just before 2pm yesterday (July 4) a disturbance occurred on Bayswater Road in Currajong resulting in a 33-year-old woman being taken to Townsville University Hospital with multiple leg and arm wounds. A crime scene was declared. The 43-year-old woman was arrested at a Robertson Street address in Railway Estate shortly before 3pm and taken to the Townsville Watchhouse. She has been charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm. The Railway Estate woman remains in custody and is next due to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on August 23.
