Share Seth Siegel has been many things in his life: a CEO, a Broadway and television producer, an author. Now he’s taking on a new role: chief sustainability officer at N-Drip, the manufacturer of a pioneering gravity-powered Israeli irrigation system. It’s the natural next step for Siegel, 67, who has spent the last six years entrenched in the world of water sustainability, with an eye toward Israel’s progress on the issue. Siegel is a veteran of the branding world and a serial entrepreneur, known until a handful of years ago for not only his business acumen, but also his activism and philanthropy. A Cornell University graduate, he chaired the university Hillel’s board of trustees, and was a board member of the Abraham Joshua Heschel School, a pluralistic day school in Manhattan, for more than 30 years. His activism with AIPAC brought him to Israel many times. ....
By news editor and partners • Jan 7, 2021 New Mexico State University is positioning itself as a leader in agricultural sustainability as a team of researchers embark on new projects to study groundbreaking water-saving technology. The two studies, which align with the university’s strategic goal to advance research activity to address global challenges, are the result of new partnerships with two agrotechnology companies based in Israel, Tal-Ya Agriculture Solution and N-Drip. Under the partnerships, researchers from the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences and College of Engineering formed an interdisciplinary group to study the companies’ signature water-saving systems: Tal-Ya’s Mitra and N-Drip’s Gravity Micro Irrigation. Manoj Shukla, professor of plant and environmental sciences, is serving as the director of the two studies, which launched in March amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with support from NMSU� ....
