KARACHI: Unilever Pakistan has collaborated with the Parks & Horticulture Department, KMC to set up a public space at Frere Gardens to create awareness about plastic recycling in Pakistan.
Unilever Pakistan has set itself the target to collect, recycle and repurpose more plastic than it produces by 2030. The public space is set up as part of the continuing effort to recycle and repurpose plastic to reduce waste and give plastic a second life. The Public Space includes a play area and benches for the people of Karachi, which have been made from over 2,500 kilos of recycled plastic. This plastic was collected as part of Unilever’s ongoing commitment to recycle two million kilos of plastic across Pakistan in 2021.

KARACHI: The prestigious ‘Grand Effie’ was awarded to Shalamar Hospital/Babar Ali Foundation for ‘The Hot Tea Stain’ campaign developed by BBDO Pakistan at the third edition of Effie Awards Pakistan (EAP) virtually held recently under the aegis of the Pakistan Advertising Society (PAS), says a press release.
The award ceremony was aired live by EAP’s partner Samaa TV and simultaneously streamed on Facebook and YouTube on July 9.
Ogilvy Pakistan and Unilever Pakistan were awarded the ‘Agency Network of the Year’ the ‘Marketer of the Year’ titles, respectively.
The EAP is part of a global network of Effie Worldwide and rewards and celebrates effective marketing efforts.

KARACHI: Wyeth Pakistan Ltd, a listed company on the pharmaceutical sector, informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Tuesday that the parent company, Wyeth LLC, USA resolved to consider purchase of shares from all minority security holders in order to increase its ownership and de-list the company.
Wyeth LLC, USA currently holds 40.55 per cent shareholding in Wyeth Pakistan.
The company observed that the shares held by Wyeth Holdings LLC, previously Wyeth Holdings Corporation, USA being an affiliate of Wyeth LLC would continue to hold securities and shares in the de-listed entity. The company made the disclosure of the price sensitive information under rule 5.13 of Voluntary Delisting Rules of the PSX.
