However, with Brickman out of the final list of draftees, Garcia said the team is considering the next best thing to do – get the best available talent in the draft for the Elasto Painters. “Regarding the draft we’re going to have a meeting Friday. We always do this ever since we (Rain or Shine) joined the PBA, we always meet two days before the draft, we always talk about the players available,” said Garcia on the weekly Saturday sports show The Chasedown on One PH over Cignal TV. ....

Agent Charlie Dy, who represents the three players, said the PBA thumbed down their draft applications after failing to secure recognition from the Bureau of Immigration and affirmation from the Department of Justice. Dy also said in former PBA commissioner Noli Eala’s program Power and Play that Brickman, Rosser and Grey are likely out of the draft proceedings set March 14, unless the league makes a quick decision on changing its requirement for Fil-foreign players. ....
Published December 22, 2020, 3:29 PM Jason Brickman took an initial step in finally making his entry in the PBA after being one of the early applicants for the Rookie Draft slated March 14. The PBA’s official website said that the former playmaker of San Miguel Alab Pilipinas and Mighty Sports Philippines was one of six players who formally submitted their names recently at the league office in Libis. Other players who filed their applications were Brickman’s ex-Alab teammates Jeremiah Gray and Brandon Rosser, Andre Paras, Matthew Kyle Sanchez and Shem Kenneth Magallanes. Brickman is set to take his act in the PBA, taking advantage of the decision to relax its rules for applicants. ....
