However, with Brickman out of the final list of draftees, Garcia said the team is considering the next best thing to do – get the best available talent in the draft for the Elasto Painters. “Regarding the draft we’re going to have a meeting Friday. We always do this ever since we (Rain or Shine) joined the PBA, we always meet two days before the draft, we always talk about the players available,” said Garcia on the weekly Saturday sports show The Chasedown on One PH over Cignal TV. ....
Published March 6, 2021, 4:58 PM Photo from ABL Jason Brickman and six other Fil-foreign players will not be eligible for next weekend’s PBA Rookie Draft after failing to beat Friday’s deadline for those who have yet to submit necessary documents. Agent Charlie Dy confirmed that Brickman, Jeremiah Gray and Brandon Rosser were among the Fil-foreigners who will no longer take part in the March 14 proceedings as they weren’t able to furnish documents from the Bureau of Immigration and Department of Justice. Also out, per multiple reports, are former Chooks-to-Go 3×3 player Taylor Statham, La Salle’s Tyrus Hill, John Paul Gulfo and Christopher Cancio. ....

Published February 24, 2021, 4:38 PM Photo from Philippine Waterpolo Aljon Salonga, one of the top performers of the Philippine Water Polo Team during the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games here, suffered a dislocated right elbow after he figured in a motorcycle accident Tuesday. Salonga was alone when the accident happened in Las Pinas City, and he was immediately brought to the hospital for treatment. He had surgery to repair his elbow last Wednesday. Charlie Dy, the CEO of Virtual Playground where Salonga is a talent, said that the water polo star is recovering well after the surgery. “He is doing well after the operation. Aside from the dislocated elbow, he also suffered a cut on his left leg but both injuries were not serious and he is fine right now,” said Dy. ....
