This sixth edition features one of our favorite pick-me-ups: coffee. Part seven will cover some of our writers favorite delivery and to-go experiences.

Ate Kitchen and Kin reopen in former Politan Row space

Two former Politan Row concepts are back in business at the recently closed food hall space.
Ate Kitchen and Kin reopened Dec. 10 at 2445 Times Blvd., Houston, in Rice Village, but the two concepts will operate slightly differently than they did in their days at the food hall, which closed Nov. 13.
Caribbean-inspired Ate Kitchen will offer pickup as well as delivery within five miles and will be open Wednesday through Saturday from noon-6 p.m.
“I’m thrilled to be reopening Ate in Houston’s Rice Village,” chef Keisha Griggs said in a news release. “The restaurant community looks decidedly different and how we deliver our cuisine has definitely shifted, but we are looking forward to opening back up just in time for the holidays.
