Vermilion RCMP respond to vehicle rollover, one driver charged SHARE ON: The Vermilion RCMP says a driver has been charged after an accident that resulted in some injuries. On May 13th, officers responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of Highway 41 and College Drive. A north-bound van, carrying two women, was hit by a southbound SUV that was making a left turn. The crash caused the van to roll over on its roof. While two ambulances and Vermilion Fire personnel had to come to the scene, everyone in the vehicles had gotten out by the time they arrived. The driver of the van was transferred to Vermilion hospital in stable condition, while the passenger did not need medical assistance. The female driver of the SUV and the three children in the car, all under 8, were also taken to Vermilion hospital as a precaution, with one child suffering a minor soft tissue injury.

Article content In the early morning hours of February 5, 2021 Vermilion RCMP were alerted to a suspicious vehicle, by a concerned citizen. The caller reported a vehicle stopped in the middle of the driving lane just north of Vermilion on Highway 41. Responding members located the vehicle and determined that the vehicle was experiencing mechanical issues. The investigator’s suspicions were raised while interacting with the driver.
