There have been 123 new cases of COVID-19 in Marion County since the start of 2021, according to the State of Iowa Coronavirus Database. Three fatalities have been reported during that time, which brings the total to 50 residents since the beginning of the outbreak. In total, 2,837 positive tests have been reported, and 2,667 were considered recovered by Marion County Public Health in their most recent weekly report. A new outbreak has been reported at West Ridge Specialty Care this is the second time cases have spiked at their location in Knoxville. There have been 39 positive COVID-19 cases reported at West Ridge, and 11 recoveries. Seven Marion County residents are currently hospitalized with the virus.
