BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — Prom season is returning for the first time since pandemic hit more than a year ago for some area high schools.
“Are you excited about prom?” Buckley asked.
“’I’m very excited,” replied Ashden Cichoki, senior, St. Joseph’s Colligate Institute, Town of Tonawanda.

Any prom with more than 100-people indoors or 200-outdoors, must require proof of a completed vaccine series or negative Covid test
St. Joe’s is now gearing up for the senior prom to be held this Saturday, May 8. ....

It is with great sadness that the family of Timothy J. “Tim” Baker of Ogdensburg, NY announces his passing. A 14-year pancreatic cancer survivor he lived every day to the fullest and was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Tim was born in Ogdensburg on May 21, 1951. He was a member of the 1969 last graduating class of St. Mary’s Academy and went on to earn his Associate Degree in Business Administration at Canton College. Upon graduation he joined the St. Lawrence National Bank (now Community Bank) where he held a number of different positions including head of the Credit Department and Loan Processing; Vice President, Commercial and Consumer lending group; Merger and Acquisition team leader; Chief Financial Officer; and Senior Vice President and Director of Special Projects. He retired in 2016. ....

OGDENSBURG, N.Y. (WWNY) - It is with great sadness that the family of Timothy J. “Tim” Baker of Ogdensburg, NY announces his passing. A 14-year pancreatic cancer survivor he lived every day to the fullest and was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Tim was born in Ogdensburg on May 21, 1951. Leaders assess successes of 2020-2021 school year - Arkansas Catholic

After a year of mask-wearing, social distancing and an endless supply of hand sanitizer, Catholic schools in Arkansas can see a glimmer of light on the horizon with vaccinations and an eye toward graduation. 
Theresa Hall, superintendent for Catholic Schools, said the lessons learned from the 2020-2021 school year during the COVID-19 pandemic will be useful for the future. 
“It has made us think what can we do, how can we do things a little bit different. Sometimes we’re creatures of habit and sometimes it’s easy to stay doing what we always do because it works, but this has made us think outside the box and what can we do differently,” Hall said. “This makes you stop and think, ‘This is working or this is not working.’ It makes us reevaluate what we’re doing and how we do things like fundraising, recess, sports, teaching.”  ....
