Saving lives amid insurmountable odds and in the face of unprecedented challenges is what Air Force nurses and technicians remain ready for. The COVID-19 pandemic shined a light on their incredible resilience and dedication to their fellow service members, their patients and their nation.

PIERRE – Big offense helped Pierre Governor Baseball sweep a doubleheader from Rapid City Central Wednesday at Hyde Stadium 9-3 and 20-4.
Pierre (14-4) had 10 hits and jumped ahead quickly in the first game with four runs in the first inning. Maguire Raske and Bennett Dean each had two hits and two RBI.  Dean hit a triple.  Lincoln Kienholz had a double and triple.  Governor pitchers combined to strike out 11 Cobblers.
Pierre combined for 16 runs in the first two innings of the second game and had 16 more hits.  Spencer Letellier doubled, tripled and drove in four runs.  Matthew Hanson was four-for-four with three RBI.  Andy Gordon drove in two runs and had three hits.  Jackson Edman and Isaac Polak threw three innings of perfect relief. ....

Washington’s tech industry hasn’t been immune to the pandemic. Companies such as the IT giant DXC and the event-organizing platform Cvent cut jobs amid the slowdown. But some, including the hot cloud-computing company Appian, committed to hundreds of new hires.
