Active caseload drops as EOHU adds 32 new COVID-19 cases, 2 fatalities

Article content The Eastern Ontario Health Unit disclosed 32 additional COVID-19 cases, and two new fatalities Friday afternoon, as the number of active cases in the region took a tumble. Of the new cases, seven are in Cornwall, one in South Glengarry, two in South Stormont, one in North Stormont, two in North Dundas, four in Russell, four in Casselman, one in The Nation, two in Champlain, one in Alfred & Plantagenet, and six in Clarence-Rockland. EOHU region added 109 COVID-19 cases since Friday

Article content The early Monday afternoon update of local COVID-19 numbers pushed the region to totals that few would ever have expected, when the pandemic was declared over a year ago. Between the last update Friday afternoon and Monday’s total, 109 cases were added, with the active caseload total currently at 510.
