Looking to the Ontario data posted each morning, the province added a new case Wednesday morning, one of the additional cases confirmed by the EOHU over the long weekend. The provincial data shows it to be an already resolved case, a woman in her 20s, whose test results were reported on July 27, and whose acquisition is listed as contact of a confirmed case.
The provincial data assigns 4,633 cases to the EOHU.

While all was quiet for new cases within the EOHU Wednesday, the St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Council in Akwesasne reported three new COVID-19 cases in the southern portion of the community Wednesday, an outbreak tied to the Akwesasne Boys and Girls Club. Any direct contacts have already been contacted so they can self-isolate and/or be tested as required.
