Ohio State Set to Visit Illinois


COLUMBUS, Ohio – After one of the best comeback wins in 2021, the Ohio State women’s volleyball team is hitting the road to take on Illinois. Friday’s match is slated for 6 p.m. ET and Saturday’s contest starts at 4 p.m. ET.

The Buckeyes completed a reverse sweep by taking the final three sets to upset No. 8 Penn State, 3-2, on Wednesday. Ohio State remains undefeated at 7-0 after getting its first win over a ranked opponent this season. Buckeyes Battle Back to Upset No. 8 Nittany Lions


COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s volleyball team erased a 2-0 deficit to clinch a hard-fought 3-2 win (17-25, 13-25, 25-23, 25-22, 15-8) over No. 8 Penn State on Wednesday at the Covelli Center. The Buckeyes remain undefeated on the season with a 7-0 record while the Nittany Lions drop to 2-3.
Tonight’s win is Ohio State’s first victory against a ranked opponent this season and under first-year head coach Jen Flynn Oldenburg.
The Buckeyes were a force at the net as they earned a season-high 15 blocks. Lauren Witte led the charge with a career-high nine rejections. Vanja Bukilić, Emily Londot and Rylee Rader tallied five blocks apiece and Mac Podraza had three denials. ....
