Megumi Ogata reported on Twitter on Sunday that she successfully underwent surgery for a herniated disk. She jokingly commented that she awoke from general anesthesia with a start similar to Shinji in
Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo but without the DSS Choker. She noted that the pain eased after she had to appear on Saturday s
Radio Man Jack program and mused that having an audience is the best medicine. She teased that this bodes well for her complete recovery before her April 17 concert.

Madman Entertainment is getting on with a new release this summer as the Australian distributor has revealed plans for the first part of
Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle. The set will cover the first twelve episodes of the season with a July 7th, 2021 release date priced at $64.95. It’s a subtitled-only release as no dub has been produced in North America. It’ll include the clean versions of the opening and closing sequences as extras.

The series is directed by Masaki Tachibana based on the series composition by Hiroshi Ohnogi. Shinpei Koikawa is handling the character designs while GONZO is handling the animation production with Felix Film working on the 3DCG.

“Thrice Upon a Time” is the subtitle, and time is foremost on the mind. This is the fourth and final film in a retelling of the series “Neon Genesis Evangelion,” which kicked off back in 2007 meaning more time has passed between “1.0” and “3.0+1.0” than between “1.0” and the original series it set out to remake.
The original “Neon Genesis Evangelion” aired between 1995 and 1996, and has been a fixture of Japanese pop culture ever since. In shaping the series, creator Hideaki Anno took inspiration from his favorite giant robot franchises, like “Ultraman” and “Mobile Suit Gundam.” But his key innovation is characters with serious emotional depth and deep psychological issues. Anno’s avatar is protagonist Shinji Ikari (Megumi Ogata), a young man who suffers from feelings of alienation and inadequacy.
