Madman Schedules Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Anime Blu-ray Release

© Aida Iro / SQUARE ENIX The winter 2020 anime adaptation of Iro Aida’s manga series Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun is getting some additional distribution options that have opened up. Australian distributor Madman Entertainment has now set a May 5th, 2021 release for the show there on Blu-ray only. It’ll be a bilingual release with the complete twelve-episode run priced at $64.95. No extras are listed but we’re expecting it to mirror the North American release which included Funimation Con: Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Panel, the Promo Videos, as well as the Textless Opening Song ver. 1, Textless Opening Song ver. 2, and Textless Closing Song. The series has Masaomi Andou directing based on the series composition by Yasuhiro Nakanishi. Mayuki Itou is on board with the character designs while Lerche will be producing the animation.

2nd Japanese Akudama Drive Anime DVD/BD Release Packaging Arrives

© Piero / TooKyoGames / Akdama Drive Production Committee The fall 2020 anime adaptation of the Akudama Drive property from Too Kyo Games and Studio Pierrot previously revealed its home video release plans. The twelve-episode series is being done as limited editions for both DVD and Blu-ray editions that began on December 25th, 2020. The DVDs are priced at 6,800 yen each while the Blu-ray releases are priced at 7,800 yen each. After revealing the main covers previously for the first three volumes, we now have the packaging design for the second installment in larger form. The series is directed by Tomohiro Taguchi with Yoshifumi Sasahara as the assistant director. Norimitsu Kaiho is handling the scripts while Cindy H. Yamauchi is working on adapting Rui Komatsuzaki’s designs. Studio Pierrot is handling the animation production.

A bit later than other shows, Funimation has now brought out their newest clip from the show where a rag-tag group of criminals, or Akudama, must work together (but not by choice)!
