Police Union tweeted after three people were shot and wounded outside Nationals Park during a Washington Nationals Major League Baseball game on Saturday. The shootings, which took place outside the Third Base Gate of the stadium, brought the game to a halt and sent fans fleeing their seats during the sixth inning of the game. And actually the information on Wikipedia does not include all of the most recent mass shootings, and so the true number is actually a little higher. But you can’t really blame Wikipedia, because it is extremely difficult to keep up with all of the mass shootings that are happening these days. In fact, each one barely even makes a blip in the news before the next one happens. We have become a nation that is filled with violence from one end to the other, and many believe that what we have experienced so far is just the beginning. ....

Padres-Nats game suspended after shooting outside D.C. stadium Published: July 17, 2021 10:42 PM EDT Updated: July 17, 2021 10:45 PM EDT Recommended The game between the San Diego Padres and Washington was suspended in the sixth inning Saturday night after police said there was a shooting outside Nationals Park. Two people were shot, said Dustin Sternbeck, a Metropolitan Police Department spokesman. Investigators believe, based on preliminary information, that one of the victims was an employee at the stadium, he said. Washington police later tweeted that “two additional victims associated with this incident walked into area hospitals for treatment of gunshot wounds.” More than two dozen police cars, ambulances and fire engines were on the street outside the third base side of the stadium and a police helicopter hovered overhead. ....
