Rainwater harvesting project January 21, 2021 Rawalpindi: The Chairman Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Tariq Mehmood Murtaza visited Bilal Masjid, Muslim Park, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed and inaugurated rainwater harvesting project to reuse rainwater. Rawalpindi is the second city in the Punjab, he said, adding that RDA has started recycling of used water in this mosque after Sirajia Masjid, Asghar Mall Scheme with the help of UNDP. He said that mosques need a lot of water to meet everyday requirements. It is being expanded and will be a bigger model after completion. Rainwater collected will be used for washing and cleaning of the mosque, ablution and wash rooms where ablution water will be used for plants and grass in the park established in front of the mosque. He said that more than 400 worshipers perform ablution in the mosque daily while 1,000 to 1,500 worshipers come here for Friday prayers. Islamabad January 16, 2021 Rawalpindi : In line with the Prime Minister’s policy of Ease of Doing Business (EoDB), the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) under the direction of Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza, has accelerated its efforts to simultaneously serve the public amid Covid-19, along with facilitation of the construction sector. The Authority has initiated its fast track application approval rate during the entire process. This all happened after the introduction of the EoDB reforms as well as after setting up the e-khidmat Centre in July last year at e-Khidmat Markaz, Rawalpindi, Deputy Director Finance RDA Muhammad Junaid Taj Bhatti told during a briefing at RDA office here Friday. ....
Rainwater harvesting project takes off Mosque adopts system for ablution and watering plants RAWALPINDI: The rainwater harvesting project got its first breakthrough on Friday as a local mosque acquired the system to save rain water for ablution and then channelling the used water for irrigation in parks. The project will help utilise millions of gallons of water the heavens drop on the garrison city instead of letting it drain into Nullah Leh and other drains. Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza inaugurated the rainwater harvesting system at Masjid Sarajia Asghar Mall Scheme. “RDA is the second city institution of Punjab to adopt rainwater harvesting system for ablution,” he said. RDA has started this work at Masjid Sarajia with the help of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). RDA assures RCCI of support Islamabad December 31, 2020 Rawalpindi : The Chairman Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Tariq Mehmood Murtaza has ensured complete support to RCCI in Special Economic Zones (SEZs). He said Special Economic Zones (SEZs) will be developed along Rawalpindi Ring Road to decongest the city. A meeting held Wednesday in RDA about SEZs along Rawalpindi Ring Road which was attended by Chairman RDA, Director General RDA Chaudhry Maqbol Ahmed, President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Muhammd Nasir Mirza, Senior Vice President RCCI Osman Ashraf and Dy Director Finance RDA Muhammad Junaid Taj Bhatti.
