Passing Out Divisions of 99th officer trainees course held

The First Training Squadron based in Kochi comprises Indian Naval Ships Tir, Magar, Shardul, Sujata, Tarangini, Sudarshini and Coast Guard Ship Sarathi. The squadron is presently headed by Captain Aftab Ahmed Khan, who is also the Commanding Officer of INS Tir. The 24-week sea training commenced on December 28, 2020.

More LMO arrives on board INS Shardul of Southern Naval Command Huma Siddiqui © Provided by The Financial Express The Southern Naval Command deployed INS Shardul in an effort to extend its support in the fight against the COVID-19 in the country. On Thursday INS Shardul of the Southern Naval Command entered Kochi to disembark four International Standardisation Organisation (ISO) containers. These ISO containers were carrying 80 MT of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO). The ship after entering Kochi berthed at ICTT, Vallarpadam under Cochin Port Trust, and oxygen containers which were disembarked at the port have been handed over to the state government.
