The Wildcats, after heartbreaking losses in postseason runs scattered throughout the last decade, are boys basketball champions at long last.
Millbrook claimed the NCHSAA 4A boys basketball state championship with a 67-65 win over Ardrey Kell in overtime on a game-winning strip and layup by Silas Demary Jr. with four seconds remaining
This year s Wildcats (19-0), the first 4A state champions to go undefeated since Olympic in 2013, survived back-to-back overtime games to make it to this year s final, so it was only fitting they played a third for the title. ....
