Beti Bachao Beti Padhao week begins in Kathua with 'Media-se- Mulakaat'; DC launches 'Awareness Jingle' on save girl campaign – India Education,Education News India,Education News

While interacting with the media persons, the Deputy Commissioner informed that Kathua district has 894 females against 1000 males, which depicts improvement in Child Sex Ratio as compared to the past years. He said the role of media is pivotal for successful implementation of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, as it requires widespread diffusion of information through print, electronic and social media platforms. He appreciated the media fraternity of Kathua for giving due coverage to the welfare schemes like BBBP aimed at to generate awareness and improve the efficiency of welfare services intended for girls.
The Programme Officer said that the ICDS department, in coordination with different departments, is working to empower girls through education by ensuring their maximum enrolment child in the schools. She briefed the media about range of activities planned for the week long Beti Bachao Beti Padhao week which will culminate on International Women Day- 8t ....

Arrangements for SSB examination finalized at Kupwara

Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today convened a meeting of concerned officers to finalize the arrangements for smooth conduct of written test for the post of Class IV being held on February 27, 28 and March 01.
It was informed in the meeting that 16 examination centers have been established in the district and 250 invigilators have also been deputed for conduct of the written examination. While as, four flying squads shall also be deployed for proper inspections.
On the occasion, the DC impressed upon the concerned officers to ensure fool-proof arrangements for smooth conduct of the examination.
The DC directed the concerned for training of invigilators with Dos and Don’ts of examination process. He directed the Nodal Officer Examination and SSB Coordinators to conduct joint inspection of examination centres prior to examination to avoid any lapse in the arrangements. ....

Valediction of 32nd National Road Safety Month-2021 held across Kashmir

Srinagar: Series of activities to raise awareness among the masses with respect to road safety marked the culmination of National Road Safety Month-2021 themed ‘Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha’ across all the districts of Kashmir.
On the occasion, Valediction function was held at Srinagar and at all the districts to observe the conclusion of the month long awareness drive that was kick started on 18 January, 2021.
During this period, a number of activities including debates, quiz, essay and painting competitions, distribution of pamphlets and print material, blood donation camp, fitness mela, walkathon, rallies to raise mass awareness among the drivers and the public about road safety norms besides health check up camps were conducted by the Regional Transport Authority, Kashmir and Astt. Speaking at the occasion, ACR said that sports are the basic element that helps students to grow physically. He urged upon the student community to always take interest in sports, apart from their curricular activities.
He also asked the District Youth Services and Sports Officer to arrange more and more such tours, so that students from every area of the district could get a chance to visit other parts of the country.
