Alltown Fresh will open its doors in Middlebury today.
The location will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., unveiling a fresh new take on food-to-go. Alltown Fresh, which is conveniently located at the Shell gas station on Middlebury Road, bills its menu as “fresh and healthy,” said Martha Sullivan, spokesperson for the company, “with lots of options for vegetarian, gluten-free, vegan and more.”
Alltown Fresh has made-to-order meals to suit many dietary needs and lifestyles, with options for organization and locally-sourced ingredients. The convenience store also features favorites like kombucha on tap, fresh blended smoothies, and custom blend, single origin and fair trade coffee.

Los Alamitos Horse Track Owner Threatens to Halt Operations After Licensing Vote
All bets are off at the Los Alamitos Race Course, where the horse racing track’s owner has threatened its closure over a contentious licensing debate.
The embattled quarter horse and thoroughbred facility in Cypress, California where at least 29 horses have died from racing or training injuries this year had sought a full-year license from the California Horse Racing Board (CHRB). The CHRB instead granted the track a six-month license, following a Dec. 17 debate.
Track owner Eric Allred said he “won’t accept the contract” if the site is only licensed for six months.
