A Coryell County grand jury indicted a Copperas Cove man on two counts of possession with intent to promote child pornography after an investigation last year by the Office of the Attorney General of Texas.
Leland Chase Bright, 26, was indicted in April on the second-degree felony charge. He was not listed in custody as of Friday.
Police with the Child Exploitation Unit on July 9, 2020, executed a search warrant at a residence in Cove regarding a report of possession of child pornography, according to the arrest affidavit.
âThis search warrant was the result of a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tip line investigation where child pornography was uploaded to a Kik messenger account,â police said.

Rock thrown through window, misses baby sleeping in crib Katherine Kisiel, KATU Staff
A Clackamas mother said she was in shock. That’s the only way I can describe it. I didn’t know what to do, so I grabbed the baby and I grabbed the phone and called 911, said Shela Lawrence.
She said she heard a loud noise on Tuesday and found a homeless man had thrown a rock through her bedroom window, narrowly missing her 1-year-old sleeping in her crib. If I would have been sitting on the bed or changing her diaper, if I would have been doing that, one, the rock would have hit one of us and, two, the glass would have definitely gotten us, said Lawrence.
