Trump could shake up key Senate races with endorsements

Former President Donald Trump, here at a 2019 rally in Montoursville, Pa., largely stayed out of GOP primaries in prior election cycles, but his approach may be changing.
Former President Donald Trump’s recent endorsement in the North Carolina Senate race is the latest sign that he is looking to influence primaries in competitive states, in a shift from recent election cycles. 
During the 2018 and 2020 elections, Trump often supported Republican incumbents and the eventual GOP nominees in open races. But he rarely took sides in Senate primaries in targeted states. If the North Carolina race is any indication, that’s starting to change as Trump looks to wield his influence over the GOP now that he is out of office and no longer tethered to the party infrastructure.  ....

Wreaths Across America (WAA) is proud to announce that its Mobile Education Exhibit (MEE), which has been traveling the country to honor our nations veterans, will make 15 tour stops in Pennsylvania. Starting on June 6, 2021, the WAA MEE will be in Pennsylvania for the first of multiple stops.

Kevin Brobson, from Montoursville, is the President Judge of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court. He was first elected in 2009 and won retention to the bench in 2019. Brobson graduated from Lycoming College in 1992 and Widener Law in 1995. He was an attorney in the Harrisburg area before being elected to the Commonwealth Court. Two of his majority opinions are famous for later being struck down by the State Supreme Court. In 2017 he ruled that Democrats had not demonstrated legal standing for the creation of new congressional district maps due to “gerrymandering.” The State Supreme Court struck down the ruling and new districts drawn. Last year he wrote the opinion that 2,300 mail-in ballots should not be counted in Pennsylvania’s 45th state ....
