Barrett himself has come under fire for the very sort of voter suppression that MLB is apparently protesting, as the Mayor closed down 175 of the city s 180 polling places last year (when he just happened to be running against a black opponent). On Monday s edition of The Dan O Donnell Show, Dan breaks down what the Georgia law actually does and explains why its commonsense election reforms are almost all already in place in Wisconsin, including a ban on political operatives giving food and water to voters waiting in line. (AP) People in 23 Louisiana parishes severely impacted by February s winter storms will be able to apply for disaster food stamps, with an application period that starts Monday. The application process for the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will run in two phases between Monday and April 17, according to the state social services department. Applications will follow an alphabet schedule according to people s last names. The disaster food stamp program provides aid to households that don t regularly receive benefits but who need help buying groceries because of lost income in a disaster. Federal approval is required to authorize a disaster food stamp program. ....

(AP) Outside spending in Wisconsin s race for state superintendent has topped $1 million, the most ever spent by special interests trying to influence the officially nonpartisan race, the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign said Monday. The group tracks spending on political campaigns, including the one to be decided Tuesday. The race for Department of Public Instruction secretary pits Pecatonica school district superintendent Jill Underly against former Brown Deer superintendent Deb Kerr. Underly has the backing of the state teachers union and a wide array of Democrats, while Kerry is favored by many conservatives, including former Gov. Scott Walker. ....

A what? “We knew we were doing a COVID isolation facility no one knew what that meant,” said Brett Christofferson, a project manager with Consolidated. “It was something no one had an idea how to do, what to do, what to install. Between Consolidated and our project team we were able to figure out different ways and means and methods to bring a product to the customer that would allow them to have that safe haven.” The facility is crucial to the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribe to get a handle on the spread of the virus through their community in South Dakota. ....
