Californians will decide on Sept. 14 whether or not to recall California Gov. Gavin Newsom, but Yolo County residents are encouraged to weigh in now on where voter-assistance centers and ballot drop boxes being used for the election should be located.
As with the November 2020 presidential election, the September gubernatorial recall election will rely on mail-in voting, with every active registered voter receiving a ballot in mid-August.
In addition to returning ballots via the postal service, county residents will also have access to 13 voter-assistance centers and 13 ballot drop boxes throughout the county. The elections office will be accepting public comment through Friday on where those voter-assistance centers and ballot drop boxes should be located. Current plans call for four assistance centers and four ballot drop boxes in the city of Davis, at government offices, schools and local bu ....
