2/21 UPDATE: Baylor Returns to Normal Operations on Monday WACO, Texas (Feb. 21, 2021) – On Monday, Feb. 22, Baylor University will return to normal operations with on-campus instruction and on-campus work. Please be advised that clean-up and restoration continues in some facilities and on the grounds, so we ask for your patience and understanding while our facilities teams work to resolve any building issues caused by the winter storm. The Louise Herrington School of Nursing also will return to normal operations on Monday. COVID-19 TESTING Regular weekly COVID-19 testing will resume on Monday for students, faculty and staff at all campus locations. Getting tested is especially critical since testing operations were interrupted for several days due to the winter storms. Please ensure you complete testing each week while following all health precautions, including face mask wearing and putting distance between you and others. ....
Police Confront Black Students At Baylor University After Responding To Unfounded Noise Complaint In The Library The students blame the university and people who allow racism to persist in society. January 30, 2021 at 7:42 pm Baylor University in Waco, Texas, is embroiled in controversy after police responded to a noise complaint regarding a group of Black students who were socializing on the ground floor of the library on campus. Sam Onilenla, who was among the students at the library, described the incident in a lengthy statement posted on social media. The Baylor University junior said the session was supposed to be an opportunity for Black students to study and to get to know each other at the garden level of the Moody Library, where people are permitted to talk and socialize. ....
