Dist admin sets up testing lab following multiple kerosene blasts | Ranchi News

Hazaribag: Following several deaths due to kerosene blasts in Hazaribag, the district administration on Tuesday set up a testing laboratory at the collectorate building for speedy examination of kerosene samples.
Since February, at least six persons have died in kerosene blasts in different villages under sadar block and over a dozen have received serious injuries. In the latest such incident, a 40-year-old woman died on Sunday night.
Hazaribag SDO (Sadar) Vidya Bhushan Kumar said that earlier they were sending the samples to Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) lab in Khunti but the process was time-consuming. Hence, the IOCL was requested to provide a mobile van for testing in the district. ....

Petrol and diesel prices will remain unchanged for the next two weeks

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government on Monday hiked tariffs of kerosene oil and light diesel oil (LDO) effective from today.
The government increased the price of kerosene oil by Rs3.42 per litre from the existing Rs80.19 to Rs83.61.
It also increased the price of LDO by Rs2.19 per litre from the existing Rs 79.23 to Rs 81.42.
The prices will be effective for the next two weeks under the fortnightly price review mechanism.
However, the government did not make any change in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD). ....

NAIROBI, KENYA: Motorists will pay more for Petrol and Diesel beginning midnight following adjustment by Sh7.63 and Sh5.75 per litre respectively.
The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) did not also spare households relying on Kerosene as a source of power after adjusting upwards the price of Kerosene by Sh5.41 per litre.
In Nairobi, motorists will pay Sh122.81 for Super Petrol, Sh107.66 for diesel and Sh97.85 for households who depend on Kerosene while in Mombasa price for petrol diesel and kerosene has been adjusted to Sh120.41, Sh105.27 and Sh95.46 respectively.
Kisumu motorists will pay Sh123.36, Sh108.46 and Sh98.68 for Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene respectively. ....
