18 Months After Saima Bhat Kashmir artist Masood Hussain’s recent work making a demand for the restoration of high-speed internet for fighting the Coronavirus. Struggling with the slow speed of the internet on Friday, February 5, Aisha, a tenth class student, was downloading tutorials of her new class. Not able to download, she lost hope of completing her assignments on time. Concerned about the embarrassment in the class, she cried. A few hours later, however, Aisha, a resident of Sonwar, was jumping with joy. The high-speed mobile internet (4G) was restored. The high-speed internet restoration resulted in uploading and downloading, almost in a jiffy. ....

Gull Hassan Wani a resident of Gehend village of Shopian district was unwell for sometime and was admitted in SKIMS on Wednesday where he breathed his last today morning. In a condolence message KEG expressed grief over Mr Wani’s demise. A highly revered person, Gull Hassan Wani was a noble soul. He will be laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard at Gehend today. The high-speed internet continues to be banned across Jammu and Kashmir since August 5, 2019. The ban is being reviewed by the officials on fortnightly basis and extended. The order being issued usually starts with this line: “…certain restrictions have been placed on access to high mobile data connectivity to curb uploading/downloading/circulation of provocative videos and defeat the nefarious designs of the forces within and from across the border to create a narrative by running a disinformation campaign.” ....

The webinar was inaugurated by Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar, Director Information and Public Relations Department.
